The beginning of a bachelor student in UniKL MICET (part 3)

HI THERE,

Thanks for reading our article. Although it not much, but I hope you all can feel what we want to express. OK, for this topic entry, we will start with some of the simple question, Ready?
Please answer this:

  • Is electrical energy is important for you?
  • How often do you use the electrical appliance for 1 day?
  • Finally, have you all been experience electrical disturbance?

I confident you all can answer for those first 2 questions. But I also assume that you were provoked by the third question. Generally, power disruption can be happening to all over the places in Malaysia. Maybe some of you may be positive thinking by assuming that “Oh, maybe the TNB men just doing their common upgrade or maintenance”. Yeah, it is good that some of you were positive thinking, but what if this power disruption frequently happens in your place. This event can sure make your lappy fried their processor. For me, power disruption is SUCK!!!. Why? This is some of the info that I can give you:

  • Every 80% appliance in our home was electrical power.
  • Even your source of entertainment in your house is using electrical power.
  • No air-cond or fan, that absolutely makes you hot and going to berserk.
  • The worse part, can you see where the heck you are going in a pitch black situation?

So, why this power out-age happens? There are many causes of power failures in an electricity network. Examples of these causes include faults at power stations, damage to electric transmission lines, substations or other parts of the distribution system, a short circuit, or the overloading of electricity mains. Power failures are particularly critical at sites where the environment and public safety are at risk. Institutions such as hospitals, sewage treatment plants, mines, etc., will usually have backup power sources, such as standby generators, which will automatically start up when electrical power is lost. Other critical systems, such as telecommunications, are also required to have emergency power. Telephone exchange rooms usually have arrays of lead-acid batteries for backup and also a socket for connecting a generator during extended periods of outage.

Has anyone experience living in the hostel before?? any difficulties?? well now i tell you about the dirty little secret in our college. hmmm.. imagine life without water.. how are we suppose settle our hygiene problem.. this really tough i tell u.. where are we gonna dispose our "excrement"?? especially for those with "high" metabolism. there is a time where i accidentally see a cute little "chocolate pudding" in the toilet bowl.. and i was like "OMG people drop their "BOMB" without flushing!!?".. how uncivilized this people are.. did they know the use of flush?? well, actually it's not their fault but the college instead. i know some of u guys had experience this before, but what i'm going to highlight in here is the management of the college is too sloppy.. why  didn't they take immediate action regarding this issue..

After one week of induction, we all finally free....yeah!!. Okay, the class start on monday, but where is the schedule ??  and how i suppose go to class without it?? what the heck is ASRA doing.. really.. some more, why is ASRA like to change the schedule in sudden without informing the student.. in a week we need to print it about 5 times.. (wasting my printer ink).. haha.. this people sure does create public chaos among student (what i meant is "EX" student).. by the way people, ASRA is kinda like a student management department who take care student welfare for those who are wondering..

Wow!!!! so many people on registering day. got some over here and there wandering around near every available MICET counter. "Miss, what do I need to do before proceed to the registration counter" asked me and my fellow friend to the assistant committee. "First sort all your document according to the requirement" she said , then we started wandering around.. AGAIN, AGAIN and AGAIN. Yet finally I got our spot to sort all of our document. while at the table, I can see many familiar faces and yet they "SUFFER" the same problem in finding spot for document sorting. Even we are the "EX" student we being treat like a "freshie" student. Half an hour pass by, i'm already finish with the registration matter and "OMG it's finally over!!!" I think.

Next journey is to "DRAG" all the belongings into my "LUXURY" dorm. "Arghhh" What the heck is this about. 3rd floor?? Why there is no lift or escalator?? But i'm grateful that there is a place for me to stay. I don't know what's gonna happen in the future, but hopefully it would gone well. Although we always complaint about the college weakness, we hope that our college will take action for their own goodness. (yeah, i'm suppose so). Well, thank you all cause willing to read my 1st entry. got to go. Need "recharge". Bye
